Eliana 4/28/14

Today was Eliana day. Tomorrow she will be in phototherapy all day for jaundice. Today Evan was. So we spent lots of time with Eliana today cuddling, singing, feeding, diaper changing, and more cuddling.

I have had some complications that are now resolved and I am feeling much better. However, the doctor will be keeping me here an extra day or two to rest and truly recover from the c-section surgery and have time to spend with the babies and learn their routine. I have been down hard and haven’t been able to be with the babies much at all since they were born. Thankfully, Rhea has–and each baby has had lots of precious Daddy time!! Rhea jumped into the NICU routine while I was down and brought pics and reports and fed, diapered, and cuddled. I couldn’t be more in love with my husband and our new babies!!

They are here!

Update for delivery

The time for the c-section has been moved to 6:00 P.m. CST Friday.
One of the neonatologists had a conflict. We will arrive at the hospital between 4-4:30 tomorrow. So, 6 hours later than when we thought but at least I can eat again as long as it is before 8:00 a.m.!

Baby time is almost here!

C-section is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. CST on Friday 4/25. We are ready to meet these little ones!!!

33 weeks tomorrow.

Had my OB appt today. She scheduled me for a c-section next Friday 4/25. Babies are all fine and so am I. She feels that the babies are close to 5# each and that she doesn’t want to wait for complications and an emergency c/s. Dustin and Rebecca have their birthday on the 24th. Rhea and I both tried to get the OB to give me about her week but no.
We have one last scan of the babies at the MFM on Tuesday, pre-op appt on Wednesday, birthday celebrations on Thursday and then babies on Friday! I’ll post when I get an assigned time and after the scan on Tuesday.

31 weeks tomorrow!

My OB Appt today went so well. She said the medication for contractions will start wearing off in effectiveness but take as often as I need to when contractions start getting to be too much.
Babies and fluids are great. Said if I go into labor from here on out we are delivering. MFM report was amazing she said. Babies are practicing breathing. Their weights are great and they would be feeders and growers in NICU she said from here on out.
If I get to 34w she is scheduling the c-section week 34.
She is excited to meet the babies and I go back in 2w. Continued bed rest is required to keep gravity from causing labor at this point! We are getting so close! The Lord has truly amazed and blessed us through this journey!
